December 16, 2011

For previous posts during Tom’s mid-America adventure while promoting science and nature: Tom Travels 2011

The world population today is 7,009,840,512

There are complex scientific equations that few people know, such as The Bernoulli Equation. There are scientific equations most people know, but don’t understand E=MC². Then there are simple pseudo-scientific equations that most people know & understand:

(Pizza + Science trivia/ Beer) x Austinites = Smiles

Developed by creators of Science In The Pub, in picture format the equation looks like this:

Austin's Pizza

(Tom Travels to Austin

Tom Travels to Austin) x

Tom Travels to Austin

Everyone had a happy time. Even Tom’s non-scientific friends enjoyed learning that Antarctica contains the majority of known meteorites, Tin is the shortest named element on the Periodic Table, and geese were the 1st domesticated bird. Champions were declared, a table of males:

At the end of the day, not only will Tom bring Science In The Pub to Chicago, he will share a simple, non-scientific fact with ya’ll:

Thank you for reading. It’s the weekend, SMILE, and letUbeU.
