Anxiously hoping for the headline: Black Friday Sales Lowest in 10-Years

November 24, 2012

Does anyone else hope for that headline?

At what point will we (humans) understand that more “stuff” will not create a happier environment for us, our family, or our friends. What we need are stronger relationships with the people close to us, not the materials close to us. Think of all the waste–gas, time, plastic wrapping, cardboard packaging, packing peanuts, and on and on….

If you held back on spending this year, nice job! High five and a fist-bump to you. If you’re already $100’s in debt this holiday season, spend more time bonding with your family & friends and less time shopping for them. You might find extra happiness as a result. That is all.

Buy less, bond more. #letUbeU
