Conservation at The Field Museum

Restoring EarthIt’s time for “an attitude change–to make people care about nature instead of just learning about it.” From Alvaro Amat, The Field Museum’s design director.

Tom’s aim is to inspire change with this series of posts, to protect your future. This is a volunteer project to raise awareness of the negative environmental consequences of human actions & the scientists working to restore our beautiful Planet. Follow along as he occupies The Field Museum’s newest exhibit: The Abbott Hall of Conservation Restoring Earth, for 24 hours.

Just to be clear, it was originally called Occupy The Field Museum which has nothing to do with the Occupy Wall Street movement, and the 24 hours were broken up over 3 days, 8 hours each from 9am-5pm. The exhibit is all about active science, the environment, and how it affects your happiness:
